If you’ve never been to Tamarind in Calgary, you have to pay a visit. It’s an East Indian Restaurant serving dinner seven days a week. It was inspired by the street food of India so expect regional sauces, spices and curries in familiar dishes like chicken samosas with cilantro-infused yogurt and vinegar-infused Lamb vindaloo.

Since the owners believe in providing an enjoyable dining experience to all guests, the staff is very friendly and the food is authentic. Check out the modern feel, the tasteful décor and the fine dining experience you’ll enjoy while transporting to a night in India. Here is a look at what to expect for dinner at Tamarind.

Dining

Tucked in-between a new shop and an antique store, FARM does not look like an eatery with an impressive set of connections. It is, however. FARM is the companion business to the artisan cheese shoppe, Janice Beaton Fine Cheese, and together they locally source everything served at the Farm.

Take a seat at one of the open-air tables out front and ponder over their menus. Arrive before 2pm for lunch and you can partake of one of the best pulled-pork sandwiches in Calgary. Mildly spicy, it is served with Korean BBQ sauce and kimchi made on-site instead of coleslaw for a Korean twist.

Alternatively, you can put yourself in the hands of the chef and choose the FARM sandwich. This sandwich changes almost daily and features the best local products…

Renovating your hoe is a bit of a hassle. Even when things are going well, it can be stressful. However, when you hire the right company to handle your renovations, it can be less stressful. Here are some of the things to know about hiring somebody for your renovations.

Who do you Need?

You need more than just one person on your team for renovations. It starts with an architect to help with the interior design of the actual space. They can also act as a general contractor, as well. Your architect should be licensed through the Alberta Association of Architects.

Another person you will need on your team is an interior designer or decorator. This person will help to create the space you desire and put the function into it. They can also help…

Growth Chart - Image Credit: http://pixabay.com/en/users/geralt-9301/

The Calgary housing market saw the first month since December 2014 where residential unadjusted benchmark prices actually improved compared to the previous month. During the month of May, the housing prices within the city of Calgary totalled $454,100. This was a monthly increase of 0.55% and a year-over-year increase of 0.96%.

Compared to last year, new listings have eased a bit, which has also helped to push closer to balanced conditions even though sales are a bit slower, currently. This can help to prevent any further declines when it comes to the unadjusted benchmark price.

For the month of May, Calgary had 3,161 units listed, which is a 27% decrease over May of 2014. The total inventory levels for May were 5,342 units, which is 16% higher…
