$2.4 million home in Mahogany could be yours

A majestic home in the south east community of Mahogany is the grand prize in the next edition of Foothills Hospital Home Lottery.  Not only is it valued at $2.4 million, it’s on an island in one of the lake community’s islands.

The traditional lottery home this year is 5,890 square-feet and built by Calbridge Homes.  It has three-storeys and stands proudly in the gated island community.  It’s custom built which means it’s one of a kind.  The precise layout, interior and exterior design and unique décor aren’t offered in any other home in Calgary.

The home has four bedrooms and a total of 4.5 bathrooms.  Because it’s on Mahogany Lake the home will have a private dock for the new home owners to keep non-motorized watercraft.

The interior of the home will have oversize picture windows, pristine hardwood and as part of the prize package, it will be furnished with soft, neutral appointments and accessories.  White is one of the primary colours of the home, which is balanced by natural stone and porcelain tiles throughout the estate home.

Foothills Home Lottery is an annual fundraiser which has raised $81 million in its 23 year history for Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary.  Tickets are on now sale at $100 each or three for $375. The early bird deadline is April 15, 2016 and if all tickets are sold by then, the prize could be awarded by May 3, 2016.  Tickets can be purchased on the phone by calling 1-888-541-5540 or online at the Foothills Hospital Home Lottery website.  There are also retail locations that sell them, with a list of locations published on the website.

The Mahogany Lake island home is available for public viewing Wednesday to Friday from 2:00 pm to 7:30 p.m.  or on the weekend or holidays from noon to 5:00 p.m.
