A Giant Multi-Million Dollar Home Is Being Built West of Calgary

If you've been driving down Highway 22, you've probably been wondering what the building is that's being constructed just north of the roundabout at Highway 8. You may have been thinking that it was a hotel but it's actually a giant home that will be worth millions of dollars.

It's a two-story property on 80 acres and when it is completed it will consist of 11,000 ft.²It's going to be a private home and it's not clear who the owner will be. It is situated in Rocky View County, which is one of the richest Canadian municipalities.

Another luxury property located in Springbank will be going on the market soon. The asking price is going to be $30 million. The Kestrel Ridge Farm is also located in Rocky View County close to the Elbow River. It consists of 64 ha. of land and it also includes paddocks, riding rings and an arena. The main property is a log home with six bathrooms, six bedrooms and a five car garage. It also comes with quite a view since it overlooks the river valley, the mountains and the riding area.

Other luxurious features that come with the home include a steam room and sauna, a salt water hot tub and swimming pool, a basketball and tennis sports court, a carriage house, a greenhouse and a 3,800 square foot guest house. It's expected that the farm will be on the market in June.

In the meantime, there is another multi-million dollar property on the listings. The Kettle Lakes Ranch, which is going for $37.88 million, is situated in the Municipal District of Foothills and comes with 97 ha of land and a 5000 ft.² home.

Last year, the luxury housing market in Calgary was record-breaking and if the pace continues this year, we'll have another record-breaking year to add to the books.
