A New Calgary Restaurant Has Been Nominated for the enRoute 2014 People's Choice Award for Best New Restaurants
If you've ever boarded an Air Canada flight, you've probably picked up the enRoute magazine that's tucked away in the pouch in front of the seat. Every year this magazine provides a People's Choice Award for new restaurants that have just opened in the past year. In 2014, the Calgary restaurant “Black Pig Bistro” is one of the 30 nominees to make it to the list of Canada's Best New Restaurants 2014.
Canadians from one end of the country to the other are encouraged to visit eatandvote.com to cast their vote for their favorite new restaurant. There are 30 nominees that have been chosen by some of the best hospitality and food industry leaders in the country.
Air Canada looks for restaurants that are new to the scene that help to advance the culinary identity of Canada. If you go to the site and vote for your favourite restaurant from the nominees that are listed, you'll have a chance to win a trip. Since the awards are also being sponsored by Jaguar Land Rover, you'll also be given the opportunity to drive a Land Rover or a Jaguar during your trip to Toronto in November.
There were also 3 restaurants that were nominated from Edmonton including North 53, RGE RD and Woodwork. The winners of the 2014 People's Choice Awards will be listed in the November issue of enRoute magazine. This will give the restaurants exposure to millions of passengers that fly on Air Canada.
Good luck to Black Pig Bistro and congratulations to the restaurant for making it to the top 30 list of nominees. This is a distinguished honour and one that the new restaurant certainly deserves.Posted by on
