Are you adventurous and do you like a challenge? Well dare to awaken your inner thrill seeker by playing Calgary’s new interactive game: The Locked Room. Don’t panic, you will not be alone inside this locked room because this game can accommodate you and five of your closest friends. Do you think you and your crew have what it takes?

What is an Escape Room?

An escape room is a togetherness exercise where teams of 10 to 12 people are placed into a simulated situation and given the assignment to escape in an hour. Communication is vital amongst the team and you must be able to count on the individuals and their abilities for problem solving skills and progression during the quest. A diverse set of skills are needed for the puzzles at The Locked Room.

Who Can Participate?

You can make The Locked Room a family affair if you so desire. Although, it is suggested that the participant be at least 13 years old due to the nature of the game. Some puzzles may prove to be too hard for younger children, but the little ones are still welcome.

How it Works

Usually, six people are locked in one of three themed rooms (4th one is called Dead Meat and is coming soon). Based on the room’s subject matter, there might be a countdown down timer, there might be audio clues, or it might be dark. You are then given an hour for the six of you to finish the series of mental and physical puzzles and escape if you can. You never know what to expect.

So are you intrigued? If the answer is yes, so are you and many other Calgarians. So, what are you waiting for? Book your room today! Please note that walk-ins are welcome, but there is no guarantee you will be able to get a room.
