Calgary Will Once Again Be Hosting the Juno Awards

In 2016 the annual Juno Awards will once again be held here in Calgary. Be sure to mark your calendar for April 3, 2016 when these Canadian music awards will be held at the Saddledome.

The last time that this city hosted these events was back in 2008. At that time, Leslie Feist from Calgary was one of the big winners. This was the first time that Calgary had the honour of hosting the show and festivities. This year, the Juno awards will take place in Hamilton Ontario.

The festivities will last a week starting on March 28 2016 and then the televised gala will be held on April 3. At the same time, the new home for the National Music Centre will be ready to open. This new $168 million facility is currently under construction in the East Village. When it is completed, this centre will be the home to the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Canadian Country Music Association Hall of Fame and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

Hosting the Juno's in this city will be an exciting time and will benefit everybody. There will be a lot of visitors coming into the city for the week and if you're lucky you just may catch a glimpse of a famous singer and get his autograph.
