Happy Birthday Heritage Park!

Not only was it Canada's birthday yesterday but it was Heritage Park’s 50th anniversary as well. On July 1, 2014, heritage Park turned 50 years old and celebrated its birthday in style.

On its golden anniversary, Heritage Park celebrated the advancements that it has made during the years with mini-chuck wagon races, a pancake breakfast, fireworks, a citizenship ceremony that's held annually and a Heritage Quest challenge. This was the first time that the museum has ever had fireworks. There was an early display of bright lights for the children at 8 PM and then a larger presentation at 11 PM.

It's going to be an exciting summer for this attraction site which is known for being the largest historical Canadian museum. On August 4th, Holly Cole will perform on stage with Sarah Slean and The Stellas to celebrate Heritage Day. On August 9th there will be a western rodeo, a new playground with a train theme will be opening, and visitors will be able to make use of the all-inclusive pricing. Full access to all of the attractions and rides at the park will be included with the gate admission. It's called the Anniversary Pass and it includes all of the features of an annual pass plus the following:

  • A welcome package
  • Early privileges to book summer camps
  • Early access to buy tickets for Day Out with Thomas
  • A free photography session and an 8 x 10 photograph with Park Lane Portrait Studio
  • 10% off beverages and food purchases on weekdays
  • Much more
