It's Been a Day of Reflection

Remembrance Day is always the time to look back and honour those that gave so much to us in terms of freedom. When we look at this real estate blog we can thank those that fought during the years back for the freedom to not only be able to write and express views on the Internet but to also be able to consider purchasing  a home for the future.

We have so much as Canadians and even more so as Calgarians to be thankful for. We live in a free country and our city is doing especially well when compared to the other major centres across Canada. Remembrance Day gives us the chance to be thankful and really appreciate all that we have.

Thankful for our shelter

When you consider the climate of Calgary, it's really amazing to think that we can live in heated homes that protect us from the elements. Sometimes it's difficult to brave the cold to go off to work in the morning and it can be even harder to arrive back home knowing that the after dinner activities will include a shovel or a snowblower. On this day though, we are thankful to have these tools to clear our driveways and paths and are even more appreciative of owning a property that needs clearing.

It's a humbling experience

When you compare the Canadian lifestyle to that found in other countries, we really do need to bow our heads and be thankful for everything that we have. There are a lot of reasons why we have so much and one of them is the freedom we were offered by soldiers back in the days when the entire world was threatened.

Tomorrow will be a day when we can get back toward our goals for the future and focus once again on them. Today we could still work towards a brighter tomorrow but it has been a day of reflection when we were reminded of why we have the liberty to pursue our dreams.
