Record Set for the Most Expensive Condo Sale in Calgary
A new record has been set for the most expensive condo sale in Calgary. In the high-rise building called Princeton Hall in Eau Claire, a penthouse unit was sold for $4.4 million. This broke the record that was set back in 2011 in the Princeton Grand building when a condo was sold for $4.1 million. This building was also located in the Eau Claire community, which is situated just north of the downtown area.
The penthouse in Princeton Hall measures 3,200 ft.². This includes an outdoor terrace that is 2000 ft.². The prestigious unit also came with three parking spaces.
To get to the penthouse you can take a high-speed elevator that will get you home quickly. The building offers a concierge service that operates 24 hours a day, an exercise room, a conference room, a guest suite, a bay for washing your car, a wine cellar that is temperature controlled and much more.
The Eau Claire neighbourhood is close to the downtown core, making it a prime choice for people with exclusive tastes that want to be situated close to work. As well, there is easy access to the airport from Eau Claire, it has a gorgeous pathway and river park system and there are redevelopment plans in place for a new retail component by Harvard Developments.
Last year, this property was listed at $5.2 million. So far this year, there have been 36 sales of luxury condos. The four highest priced condo sales ever in Calgary have occurred in the Eau Claire community. The highest priced unit just sold at Princeton Hall for $4.4 million, in 2011 the unit at Princeton Grand sold for $4.1 million, a condo unit sold in 2007 for $3.7 million and the fourth highest condo sale took place earlier in 2014 for $3.3 million.Posted by on
