The Best Spring Festivals in CalgaryCalgary will have plenty of things for everybody to enjoy throughout the spring. Some of the top choices coming through the city will arrive later in May. Here are a few of the best upcoming events in Calgary.

Funnyfest Calgary Comedy Festival

For those that love a good laugh every now and again, the Funnyfest, Calgary’s comedy festival is coming to town and they are inviting you – yes you – to join in on the fun and laugh a little.

Not only can you find some of the best comedians – both new and old – but there are many things to eat, products to buy and an all-around good time. A group of volunteers who are giving up their free time to ensure you are entertained puts on this entire comedy festival. Coming is a great way to show your gratitude for all their hard work.

Over the course of 11 days and nights, visitors will have the chance to watch over 70 different comedy performers live. These performers actively promote healthy physical and mental well-being through their skits, sketches and other creative (and funny) acts they perform for the audience.

Calgary International Children's Festival

If you want to bring the kids to an event they can love, you won't find a better choice. The Children's Festival provides all types of entertainment for the younger audiences. Sharon & Bram will be on hand, along with plenty more.

Calgary Underground Film Festival

The Calgary Underground Film Festival is a film festival dedicated to featuring international independent cinema. Founded in 2003, CUFF is a non-profit organization that regularly showcases films that break away from the conventions of the modern film industry. The categories in their festival include features, documentaries, animation, and shorts, bringing stories attendees won't see in theatres.

In addition to the 7-day festival in April, CUFF also now hosts a documentary festival in November, as well as special screening events throughout the year.

These are just a few of the many events coming up throughout Calgary. The spring season will bring even more events to the city from outdoor festivals to concerts and so much more.
