Do you like to try something unique? Calgary will not disappoint you. There are numerous places in the area that serve up some outrageous food.

Briggs Kitchen & Bar – 48 Ounce Tomahawk Steak

Briggs Kitchen and Bar serves up one very large stake. Cooked in a Josper Charcoal oven, this steak soaks up all the succulent charcoal flavours. The Tomahawk is an outrageously huge T-boned steak. Every Tomahawk is cooked when ordered, and it comes with smoked mushrooms, with an almond and cherry tomato salsa. Come hungrey or bring a friend, because this is one big steak.

Vagabond Brewery - $100 Burger

If you want a high quality burger, then you want to try Vagabond Brewery’s $100 Burger. Be hungrey because this isn’t your regular size burger. This burger contains two 8 ounce burgers made of Wagyu beef, seared foie Gras, duck confit, black truffle cheese, lettuce, heirloom tomato all piled high on a brioche bun. You won't want to forget your wallet because this is one expensive burger.

Boogie’s Burgers – Doug’s “Don’t Fear the Reaper”

Boogie Burgers have created a monster known as Doug’s “Don’t Fear The Reaper.” This creation contains four all beef patties, four pieces of bacon, beef wiener sliced in half, two pieces of cheddar, fried egg, Boogie’s red sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion and a mini corn dog on top.

Tubby Dog – Sherm’s Ulitmate Gripper

Tubby Dog has challenged patrons to eat their Sherm’s Ultimate Gripper using only their hands. Be prepared to get a little messy because the toppings will have you searching for a napkin. They take a traditional Tubby Dog and wrap bacon around it. It is then deep fried, and piled high with ham, homemade chilli, cheese, mustard, bacon, hot peppers, onions and a fried egg. Now that’s a wacky combination.

Bottlescrew Bill’s – Prairie Oysters

These Paririe Oysters are cooked to perfection and topped with your choice of ingredients. They are used every July as a fundraiser for cancer research.
