Bowness Community
Bowness offers a wide range of community housing options, including semi-detached homes, condominiums, townhouses, and starter homes. Buyers can choose from heritage craftsman homes on one end of the spectrum, to the more modern executive homes for sale in the community on the other. The boundaries of Bowness are the Bow River (North and East); the mountainous 16 Avenue/TransCanada Highway (South); and Stoney Trail (West). Bowness is an attractive Calgary neighbourhood originally founded in 1911, which remained independent until 1964, at which point it became part of Calgary.
The Bowness Community Association (BCA) sponsors many activities including a Harvest Fair, Christmas craft fair, and Christmas dinner. A skating rink and sports field are open to all residents of the neighbourhood as well.

The Bowness neighbourhood park is enjoyed by home buyers attracted to the many places to picnic, ride bikes, and walk. Green space is available for all types of recreational activities for people of every age. Other parks include Athletic Park, Shouldice Pool, and Edworthy Park. Sports fans flock to Canada Olympic Park just to the north of Bowness real estate, where various winter sports activities and the Canada Olympic Hall of Fame Museum are located.
