Country Hills Neighbourhood
Established in 1990, the modern neighbourhood of Country Hills is growing rapidly. Real estate in County Hills includes estates, single-family homes, and condominiums. It is represented by the Northern Hills Community Association (NHCA). Country Hills Village, Harvest Hills, Panorama Hills, and Coventry Hills are all part of the association.
The NHCA, which formed in 1988, is a strong voice in NW Alberta real estate with many active members concerned with planning and development. There are 50,000 people in Northern Hills, with 60,000 expected at the development's completion. The NCHA sponsors numerous community events, including the Annual Harvest Moon Dance Fundraiser and the Annual Business and Services Fair.
Country Hills Community Amenities
Country Hills doesn't lack for community amenities, especially when it comes to sports. There are a large number of sports activities for both adults and children within the neighbourhood. It has the largest soccer program in Calgary with over 1200 children currently registered. A youth forum for grades 10-12 is currently being formed to represent the growing number of youth in the neighbourhood.
Cardel Place is an enormous community rec center with skating rinks, gymnasiums, an aquatic centre, climbing wall, and fitness area. The Country Hills Golf Club is a private members club property with two 18-hole courses. Local parks include Nose Hill and West Nose Creek.
Home owners have an ever-growing number of shopping areas, business services, and restaurants to choose from for all of their purchasing needs. Country Hills Village Shopping Centre and Country Hills Town Centre are two popular options.
Country Hills Community Schools
There are numerous schools in the Country Hills community. Coventry Hills Elementary, Simon Fraser Junior High and Crescent Heights High Schools are three of the public school options.
