Shawnessy Community
Established in 1981, the picturesque community of Shawnessy was named after a British Settler named Samuel Shaw, who built a log cabin close to Fish Creek back in 1882. While over a hundred years old, the structure remains relatively well-preserved and kept in safekeeping by the Shawnessy Community Association. Residential development took place at a rather quick pace over the past few decades, which eventually led to the development of numerous properties ranging from the low $200,000’s to $500,000’s and beyond.
With a diversity of affordable to mid-priced homes for sale, this neighborhood has managed to attract more than 9,300 residents.
